Turning Clicks Into Conversions for the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation
Using eye-catching creative, niche targeting, and compelling copy, I achieved record-setting returns on ad spend for the KGH Foundation. As reported by M+R Benchmarks (a study of 225 non-profits published in 2024), the average Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) on Meta ads for non-profits was 0.48 (with the average health non-profit producing a 0.35 ROAS), meaning most non-profits are losing money running ads on Meta. However, through a combination of clever targeting and relevant messaging, I am consistently able to produce double-digit ROAS, with some of my top-performing campaigns significantly surpassing my expectations and delivering a ROAS of 20+.
In addition, I am able to keep the cost per donation significantly lower than the industry average of $181, with most campaigns below $30 per donation.
The results aren’t limited to just ads either. Through a myriad of other digital activities, I have grown website traffic by 106% and digital fundraising revenue by 72% over three years with the KGH Foundation. This has helped grow the Foundation’s digital presence, produce consistent revenue, and expand the donor base.
